One of our standards is to have well stocked trucks to benefit both our clients and technicians. This is important to us because there is significant downtime attached to not having the right parts and materials when they are needed. Because any wasted time will ultimately impact our clients, we do all that we can to be prepared every step of the way. Scott, our warehouse manager, is instrumental in keeping us on track in this respect. He has a very hectic schedule during the average workday.
Scott makes sure the trucks are well stocked with inventory, but he’s also extremely diligent for any occasion when a technician might be out on a job without access to a necessary part. He will do whatever he can to make sure that the technician gets the part without having to leave the client’s home. Our strategy here is to give technicians the opportunity to stay at the home and do their work as efficiently as possible.
There is a significant amount of logistics behind ordering parts, inventorying trucks, inventorying the warehouse, and transferring items from one location to another. A lot of transactions occur on a regular basis just to ensure that we have well-stocked trucks. All of this is Scott’s area of responsibility.
Scott also makes sure that our trucks are properly maintained and any necessary repairs are done so that we have minimal breakdowns. Any unexpected breakdown would mean that a client may not be able to have a technician visit at the expected time. Scott does the best he can to keep our vehicles in good shape, even though breakdowns are unavoidable sometimes.
Scott is a vital part of reaching the level of customer service we strive to provide each and every day. He has a behind-the-scenes position that many people don’t think about, but he’s very much a pillar to the customer experience.
