Wood floors just don’t do very well when there’s a rapid influx or decrease in moisture. That’s exactly what happens in a bathroom, especially if you take longer showers or if you have a bathtub where water gets on the floor. Whenever wood floors come into contact with water, they soak it up and start to expand. That will lead to cupping or an uneven floor.
